David Willis sponsored a guide trip as a silent auction item at the Colorado Association of Libraries (CAL) conference last fall, and I pounced on it. Fishing with a librarian – such a deal!
David Ellis on the Yampa
David used to work at Colorado Mountain College in Steamboat Springs and knows the Yampa well. He is now working for Emporia State University recruiting for their SLIM program (School of Library and Information Management.)
David and I started our day fishing in town at the “C” hole and the “D” hole and had some great success at the “Snow Bowl” hole (right behind the bowling alley.) Later in the day we ventured over to the stretch of river just below the Stagecoach reservoir and had lots of success with some smaller rainbows.
It was great spending a day with you, David.
