Sandy and Michael Burke have lived in Durango long enough to earn the status of local. Sandy is an intrepid hiker having hiked the entire length of the Colorado Trail two summers ago. Her blog tells the story of her summer-long adventure. Talk about following a passion! Michael, a steward of Colorado trails, a civil engineer, and a philosopher, is an avid outdoorsmen as well. Many thanks go to Sandy and Michael who let me park my camper in their driveway for 10 days, walk into their home at all hours of the day, hooked me up to their electricity, fed me and provided great company.
